Cala Homes will be making a contribution of nearly £350,000 towards the local school academy, college and GP surgery as part of the S106 agreement for our brand-new development at Café Fields in Puckeridge.

As part of Cala’s commitment to the Puckeridge community, Ralph Sadleir School and Freman College will each receive sizeable funds (just over £140,000 and nearly £145,000 respectively) for expansions to their educational facilities. Puckeridge GP Surgery will also be receiving just under £55,000 to help with general medical services.

Additionally through the S106 agreement, Cala will also be making a number of other contributions, which includes increasing the frequency of the A120 Buntingford to Royston and Hertford to Ware bus routes, extending Puckeridge Community Centre and overseeing the provision and development of IT at Buntingford Library.

Glenn Copper, Sales and Marketing Director for Cala Homes North Home Counties, comments:

“These contributions play an essential part in enhancing the Puckeridge community we’re proud and excited to be part of here in Hertfordshire. With such an intense focus on education during this difficult time, the planned expansions of both Ralph Sadleir School and Freman College will be welcome news to parents of current and future pupils.

“The contribution to Puckeridge GP Surgery will also provide great financial support to the vital medical services during this period, and we’re delighted to be working with the council to bring this funding and planning to fruition.”

Located on Cambridge Road in the village, Café Fields offers a collection of 56 two to five-bedroom detached homes surrounded by open fields and attractive East Hertfordshire countryside. The site officially launched in August last year and is set to be the largest private new-build development in Puckeridge when complete.

Each home at Café Fields has been meticulously designed to be light and spacious and will be built to the quality specification that Cala is renowned for, blending in with and enriching the local neighbourhood character.
