Beyond New Monks Park the opportunities to explore the local area are endless. The heart of Lancing provides all the amenities you need including a range of chain and independent shops, supermarkets, a doctors surgery and health centre, sports facilities, train station and a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Some local gems of Lancing include the cosy Vintage Tea Room at Chesham House Centre and the Perch on Lancing beach where you can eat in with relaxing views of the shore or take out and enjoy the sea air with your coffee. Other popular places to visit include the wonder of Lancing College Chapel, the local Stanley Ale House and of course the Brighton & Hove Albion Football training grounds – The American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, which houses both the clubs professional and academy teams.
For amenities further afield, hop on the A27 to reach the myriad of shopping and leisure attractions available. Brighton is just 11 miles away, or go west to access Worthing, Chichester, Portsmouth or Southampton.
Lancing is served by several good and outstanding primary schools close by. As well as the renowned independent Lancing College. For other secondary education there is The Sir Robert Woodard Academy and further options in the surrounding area.
New Monks Park will be situated just over 1 mile from popular Lancing beach with its array of coloured beach huts and coastline which spans nearly 10 miles and can be explored on foot, by bike, on water or simply sit and relax and take in the coastal scenery. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy typical hobbies from the coast such as surfing, sailing, kitesurfing or wakeboarding, but more unique options are available too such as flyboarding with Lift Watersports or channelling your inner Ariel at Sussex Mermaid School.
Not only is the coast on your doorstep but so is the wonders of the South Downs National Park. With miles of trails to explore, each visit could find you a new favourite spot. Explore a local 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ at Lancing Ring where you can climb the small hill that rises 109m above sea level.
Trains from Lancing Station run on a well-connected coastal line meaning you can get to Portsmouth in just under an hour stopping at Worthing and Chichester along the way or to Brighton in just over 30 minutes. A direct service to London Victoria means you can get to the capital in an hour and a half for work or for day trips out. There are a number of bus stops servicing North, Central and South Lancing getting you to where you need to go. From New Monks Park you will be able to take the bus from Shadwells Close or Woodard Road just minutes from your door. Lancing is also well placed for more exotic getaways with London Gatwick Airport just 32 miles away.
