Long Marston

A planning application has also been submitted to Stratford District Council for the next phase of residential development within the Long Marston Airfield wider plan consisting of 124 high quality homes on land which forms part of the Long Marston Airfield. This land forms the northernmost part of the site which is adjacent to Phase 1 of the Fernleigh Park development.

This scheme will deliver a number of benefits including:
• 124 high quality homes of which 35% will be affordable in line with local policy
• Careful consideration of highway access points
• Forming part of a green sustainable new community with access to a range of amenities from the wider garden village masterplan
• A boost to the local economy, creation of new jobs during construction and financial contributions for infrastructure improvements.

Our proposal

Fernleigh Park, Long Marston Airfield

The site is allocated as a new settlement proposal for 3,500 homes within the Stratford-on-Avon District Core Strategy, which was adopted in July 2016.

Cala’s Fernleigh Park development, which forms part of the wider Long Marston Airfield plan will deliver a new, vibrant and sustainable community to meet Stratford-on-Avon District’s long-term development needs.

The site forms part of a new settlement proposal for 3,500 homes within the Stratford-on-Avon District Core Strategy, which was adopted in July 2016.

As well as a mix of high quality homes, the new settlement will also provide schools for local families, a new vibrant and thriving neighbourhood centre with shops, a community centre and a GP surgery, all around a village square.

The community will be designed to create a combination of town and country life, providing opportunities to live, work and socialise, all within 10 minutes of historic Stratford.
