Cala submits planning application

Silverburn House, Bridge of Don

Cala Homes (North) has submitted a planning application to Aberdeen City Council for a development comprising of 72 new homes in Bridge Of Don

The proposed site, which is located on the unused space where the former Silverburn House was demolished in 2019, will feature a mix of 54 three, four and five-bedroom detached homes as well as 18 one and three-bedroom affordable properties in line with planning requirements.

All homes at the site will feature sustainability measures, as well as measures to support local wildlife.

Lynn Melvin, Senior Land Manager at Cala Homes (North), said: “We are pleased to have submitted an application to create a new community in Bridge of Don, which will turn disused land into much-needed high quality homes that are sympathetic to their surroundings in a fantastic suburb of the city.

“If successfully approved, we will work with local charities and organisations as part of our Community Pledge initiative, which provides donations, volunteering time and school programmes in the local areas in which we build.

“We look forward to receiving a decision from Aberdeen City Council in due course.”
