Stamp Duty benefits with our Ready for You homes (England only)


In September 2022, the Government introduced a temporary first-time buyer relief to stamp duty. This means that for now, first-time buyers can buy a home up to the value of £425,000 without paying any stamp duty, and there is a reduced rate on values up to £625,000.

You have the potential to benefit from this opportunity until 31st March 2025. After that, the nil rate stamp duty threshold will revert to £300,000. That means that waiting too long could cost you up to £6,250.

At the same time, the Government also temporarily increased the nil-rate stamp duty threshold from £125,000 to £250,000 for those who already own a property and are looking to move. That means that for now, stamp duty is not paid on the first £250,000 of the total purchase price.

You have the potential to benefit from this opportunity until 31st March 2025. After that, the nil rate stamp duty threshold will revert to £125,000. That means that if your new home is valued at more than £250,000, waiting too long could cost you £2,500.
